What do you believe!?
I used to have a very clear position on most issues. I used to be an independent. Some of my positions were liberal and some were conservative. Mostly I was libertarian. But, since 2003, and the Bush war in Iraq, I have come to see many other views, on many other subjects (not just that particular war).
INFO:
In 2000, I voted for Harry Browne (pres) Libertarian. When the USSC declared Bush the winner over Gore, I told my then girlfriend, "good, at least it wasn't the Bore."
I've most certainly changed my positions since then. Call it age, maturity, and education.

I kicked the Democratic Party to the curb after voting for Carter and I've never been sorry. I nearly relinquished my membership in the Republican Party during Bush 43 because fiscal responsibility seemed to be a thing of the past. After the last election, fiscal conservatives seem to be resergent within my party so I'm staying put for now.
No party has ever fit me like a glove, and I've flipped on a few popular issues in the last 20 years. I no longer support abortion as a form of birth control and I no longer support the death penalty.
Likewise, call it age, maturity and education.

You're answer is inaccurate in that 3 of the current Supreme Court Justices were nominated by Democrats.
1. Ruth Bader Ginsburg by Clinton
2. Steven Brier by Clinton
3. Sonia Sotomayor by Obama
And, regardless of who nominated them, if you don't think Anthony Kennedy (Reagan) and John Paul Stevens (Ford) are liberal, you aren't paying close enough attention.
That said, I agree with you that the Court isn't going to revisit Roe v. Wade, at least in my lifetime. The Chief Justice (John Roberts) testified before the Senate that he considers Roe to be "super" stare decisis, which I think is the general feeling throughout the Court.
