Concluding paragraph vs Introduction?
My teachers say that the concluding paragraph should mirror the introduction paragraph. I just need a starting sentence. Here is the one in my introduction: "The strong moral lesson of Animal Farm is clearly exhibited by the actions of the monarchs of the Russian Revolution, each of which are represented by fictional animals."
Please help! I need another way to say that sentence, but with more detail.
Mirroring doesn't mean saying the same thing in different words. Your concluding paragraph should actually come to a conclusion, not just restate what's in the intro...I mean, what's the point, then, of having it at all if it just restates the same thing??
Your intro should begin with a general statement about your topic and get more and more specific until you get to your thesis statement which is the most specific sentence in the intro. The mirror effect in the conclusion is that the first sentence in your conclusion should be the most specific and then the paragraph gets more general as it goes on. This way, you ease your reader into the essay with the intro and ease them out in the conclusion.
If you need an example of what I mean, let me know and I'll edit my response to include one.
