I've inherited a collection of souvenir spoons?
I want to keep them looking nice. Are they typically made of silver? Or some other material? Do they tarnish? What do I do if they get tarnished?
It is kind of strange, I know. My grandmother recently passed away, they were hers and they were very special to her, so it's special to me to have them. Just sentimenality I guess.
Find a reputable collectibles dealer specializing in souvenir spoons. Ask for recommendations on the care of the spoons. Don't use any harsh, chemical cleaners. Also, check your local library for any books on souvenir spoons so you can get more information on the spoons. Good luck!

If they are made of silver, you need to handle the spoons with clean polyester gloves (the kind that archivists use) to keep your body oils from tarnishing them.
