Where can I buy an Ushanka hat in the U.S.?
Hello. I'm looking for a men's Ushanka Russian hat for a school project which I need a costume for. It doesn't have to be made in Russia, or have real fur, or anything like that. as long as it looks like an Ushanka and would function reasonably well in a classroom setting that's good. If it had a communist symbol or red star on it that would be even better but that may be difficult to find.
I don't plan on ordering anything, so a nearby store would be nice. also preferably priced under $20. I live in Seattle and we have most major department stores around here (ex. JC penny's, Macy's, Sears, etc...)
If you're like most people and don't know what an Ushanka is, its a Russian fur cap with a flap on each side that can be let down to keep the ears warm. here's a couple pictures of them:
